Bubble Letter Fun

Bubble letters are such a fun simple way to accent a bulletin board or a kids room. You take something as simple as a name or a title and just write it in bubble letters. If bubble letters aren't your forte you can go online and print out a template so all you have to do is decorate the letters. Most recently I used bubble letters to accent a bulletin board; which the kids love!
Follow these simple step by step directions to create your fun letters:
1. Choose your subject matter (name, topic: in this case our theme is biomes)
2. Bubble the letters you want to use
3. Use a design that relates (whether it be cars or flowers because its your child's favorite)
4. The run with it, do what you think looks best

Note that each letter is directly related to the rainforest. The f is a toucan and each other letter is decorated with greens that can be found on each layer or the rainforest.
You can also see that the theme was carried out here with each letter. From the cactus D, e and t to the snake s and r to the sun setting over the dry desert ground.
This picture is a bit more difficult to make out, but it is the coral reef. Each letter represents the vibrant colors found in the coral reef. As well as some familiar sea creatures.
The final product reflects exactly what we are talking about, biomes. I can't take the credit for the wonderful handwriting or beautiful drawn animals, those were the kids, but the rest was so simple anyone could do it!

Creating a Gift Basket

I always find it fun making a gift basket for someone. I find all sorts of reasons to make them. Christmas, birthday, maybe their having a baby or getting married, whatever the reason a gift basket is a good way to wish them well.
For anyone who has ever gotten married or had a baby they know that you always register for little things and sometimes you don't get those little things because it’s easier to wrap the bigger sized gifts. Well, I am the person who loves to buy the little things and put them in a nice basket.
Recently I created a gift basket for a friend who’s having a baby. Taking a wicker basket that I got for  just a couple of dollars I created a beautiful gift filled with necessities for baby. With a little bit of tissue paper and some baby ribbon the gift is complete and ready for baby!
There have been other times that I have taken various themes and gone with that. I created a coffee themed one for a Yankee Swap which was a huge hit. If you know the person you are creating it for you can go with a them that you know they would like. When creating a gift basket the options are limitless.
